Jared Welch, founding member of Welch &Webb, was elected to the 6th Circuit Judicial Commission on November 2, 2019.
The Commission is tasked with interviewing all applicants for judicial vacancies and recommending a panel of three nominees to the Missouri governor for a final selection.
The Commission is made up of two lay (non-attorney) members appointed by the governor, two members elected by and from active Missouri bar members who reside in Platte County, and is chaired by the presiding judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District.
Welch’s 6-year term on the Commission begins January 1, 2020.
