The City of Platte City presented Welch & Webb with its William M. Paxton Preservation Award on March 27, 2018. The award is in recognition for the firm’s efforts in preserving the city’s architectural heritage.
The investment of time and resources by Welch & Webb is evidenced by their commitment to restoring the antebellum home located at 500 Third Street that serves as their main office.
Restoration and refurbishment efforts included replacing the building’s roof, restoring the original hardwood floors, new landscaping, and historic tuck-pointing and stone-work preservation.
