Welch & Webb, LLC, is pleased to announce that Pamela J. Welch has joined the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Pamela was a partner with Franke Schultz & Mullen where she worked for more than 15 years. She defended insurance companies and their insureds in personal injury and wrongful death cases. Pamela also litigated insurance coverage matters and defended several consumer cases and class actions.
Pamela will provide significant experience and a unique perspective to Welch & Webb’s personal injury practice as well as general civil litigation.
“I am very excited to use my experience and knowledge from working with insurance companies to help injury victims,” Pamela says. “I saw firsthand how insurance companies valued claims and the tactics they used to minimize a claimant’s recovery.
Pamela has handled complex and catastrophic injury claims involving millions of dollars, as well as smaller injury claims. She takes the same approach with each case no matter the size. She prepares each case as if it is going to trial. She has tried jury trials in Missouri and Kansas as well as argued before both the Missouri and Kansas Courts of Appeal.
Pamela earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2003 from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law where she was honored as a National Member of The Order of Barristers. She represented UMKC in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America’s National Advocacy Competition in which she received the H. Michael Coburn Legal Advocacy Scholarship. She was a staff associate for The Urban Lawyer and an editorial assistant for the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Pamela attended Kansas State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communications. She is admitted to practice law in the State and Federal District Courts of Missouri and Kansas. Pamela is a member of the Platte County Bar Association and Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
Pamela is involved in her Platte County community and serves on various boards with her church and children’s school. Pamela is an avid sports fan and promoter of youth sports. She is especially proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Northland Sports Alliance, which provides organized youth recreational and competitive sports opportunities for more than 5,000 children each year in Platte County.
